About O'Reilly Consulting

The experience behind the advice

Who we are

O’Reilly Consulting is a New Zealand based technology consultancy. We work on cloud infrastructure, digital transformation, AI and the organisational change that makes technology investments stick.

We’ve done the jobs we now advise on: global IT leadership, support teams spread across time zones, Kubernetes and CI/CD platforms designed and run in production, cloud transformation delivered at scale. The advice comes from delivery, not from analyst reports.

Our approach is practical. We start by understanding your current state, deliver working outputs rather than slide decks, and hand everything over so your team can carry it forward without us.

Our Directors

Paul O'Reilly

Director or Technology

Paul has extensive experience guiding leading global enterprises: leading global IT support teams, providing best practice advice, debugging large scale Kubernetes systems, GitOps, CI/CD platforms and integrations.

He has end to end experience that covers both scope and delivery of work, as well as training and enabling teams to deliver, maintain and improve those solutions.

Paul works best in the overlap between engineering and the business: happy troubleshooting a production system in the morning and explaining to the board why it matters in the afternoon.

Gabby O'Reilly

Director of People and Culture

Gabby has spent more than 20 years heavily involved in the social sector, governance, and people development. She is a registered professional social worker and holds a Master of Arts.

Her governance background includes board-level roles and chairing social services agencies. That work built a sharp eye for organisational risk and policy, and a grounded sense of how change actually lands inside an organisation.

At O’Reilly Consulting, Gabby leads the people and culture side of our work. Change programmes succeed or fail on human factors; her job is making sure we account for them and realise the improvements.
